Your village of fruit and fire

 It is new town which former Ryuuhokumachi and Miyahara-cho merge Hikawa-cho on October 1, 2005, and was established. Route 3 carries in rich rural scenery, and "Roadside Station, Hikawa-cho dragon north product building" (bistro green) meets with special product and country dishes of fresh hometown as north doorway of town. In addition, there is scenic spot "ritsushinkyo" which limestone of 75m in height lasts for 250m in the upper classes region of clear stream "Hikawa" that name of a street was derived from, and continues, and it is in oasis of people.
 In town, there is Ono cave ancient tomb which is remains of Nozu ancient tomb group and archaeology fan attention largest in Kyushu and prospers as "ozato of fire" from Burial Mound age and is old town of history so that it is said that the name of "country of Higo" was derived.
 "Town development data bank" is attractive building which rare modern modern construction method is used for in those days built as bank in 1925. In addition, we restore terminal old family by name of "town development liquor shop" as interchange base in the Edo era, and these two facilities become base of town development.
